(AMU) is a Unique College of Medical and Health Science education. It was established 2016 in Mogadishu, Somalia by a team of Medical professionals with a high-quality Health science and Medical Education curriculum tailored to meet the learning needs and aspirations of the Somali students. The primary goal of Al Hayat Medical University is to Sponsor the A Level (Advanced Level) Somali students who cannot afford high quality education to study for their Choices of Medical and Health Science education. The University opened at a rented building less than 60 students in first intake September 2016 and only 3 Departments. Second Intake September 2017 more than 400 students have enrolled the university with 7 departments and have well equipped two campuses with a handful administration. A number of Somali’s well known doctors and qualified lectures are teaching our faculty, as some of the lecturers are made in the clinics and practical aspects and theories through in the classrooms. The college has approximate 2,080 Students It has 30 teaching and 10 administrative staff on its rolls. The governing Body of AMU is The University Council, and the Governing Ministry is the Ministry of Higher Education & Culture of Somalia
