Armed Forces University (ESPE) is located in Ecuador. It is locally known as Universidad de las Fuerzas Armadas ESPE (Escuela Politécnica del Ejército). Due to the growth of the student population, faculties, institutes and centers are created to meet the needs of the country; Therefore, in 1977 it was transformed into the Army Polytechnic School (ESPE), its configuration and academic study programs were reviewed by the H. National Chamber of Representatives, which, when issuing the Law on Universities and Polytechnic Schools in May 1982, included it with all fairness and law, in the enumeration of higher education centers, merits that are reinforced when the Political Constitution was enacted on August 10, 1998 and when the Higher Education Law was promulgated in the Official Gazette No. 77 of May 15, year 2000.
