he Bayelsa State College of Arts and Science, Elebele was established in 2012 by the Bayelsa State Government through the Bayelsa State College of Arts and Science (Re-Establishment) law 2012. The law was signed into effect by the Executive Governor of the State, His Excellency (Hon) Henry Seriake Dickson on the 13th day of June, 2012. He also appointed the pioneer Rector of the College, Dr. Jeremiah A. Yabefa on the 3 day of August, 2012. The College was established for the purpose of providing courses of instruction, research and training in Science, Engineering, Management and other disciplines which may be considered necessary, depending on the manpower needs of the state in particular and the nation in general. The primary goal of the College is the development of middle level manpower. Bayelsa State College of Arts and Science provides a conducive environment for her students with well-furnished classrooms, library, good road network and power. The bayelsa state college of arts and science witnessed a new Dawn as the institution finally transits to a full blown Polytechnic today the 10th of August 2018.
