University of Blue Nile (UOBN) has established in accordance with the resolutions and goals of higher education revolution in May 1995 to be the University of Blue Nile State, and in the same year, 1995 has been configured Council of the League of symbols, dignitaries and leaders of the state and in the first meeting, according to the requirements of the mandate and priorities of the Council decided to establish the following college :- Faculty of Education - Damazin Faculty of Engineering - Rusirs Faculty of Geology and Mining - Pau Faculty advocacy and media - Kurmuk Community Faculty Center for Peace Studies and Development
