Catholic University of Temuco (UCTemuco) is located in Temuco, Araucanía, Chile. It is locally known as Universidad Católica de Temuco. The university was established in 1991. It is accredited by Consejo Superior de Educación, Chile. The Catholic University of Temuco has been founded by the Catholic Church, in the spirit of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the Magisterium of the Church, to serve the society of La Araucanía and the southern macro-region of the country, dedicating itself from its beginnings to "the extensive training of future professionals, to the cultivation of ideas that open new furrows to knowledge, and to research that improves life and institutions, generating new horizons and possibilities for its people and its territories.
