Gabriela Mistral University (UGM) is located in Santiago, Región Metropolitana, Chile. It is locally known as Universidad Gabriela Mistral. The university was established in 1981. It is accredited by Consejo Superior de Educación, Chile. Gabriela Mistral University is the first private university in the country, in the context of the Chilean higher education reform of the 1980s. Founded in February 1981, it is named in honor of the poetess and first Nobel Prize winner for Literature. Chili. It is a Private Law Corporation that is headquartered in the district of Providencia, in Santiago, and is mainly dedicated to undergraduate, postgraduate and continuing education, using the face-to-face, blended or online modality. Its training proposal takes into consideration the complexity of society and culture, and understands the need to reflect academically to give scientific answers, from the Christian Humanist identity, to the fundamental concerns of people and the pressing problems facing the country and the world.
