Ibom Metropolitan Polytechnic was established and approved in 2001 as College of Petroleum Technology by the Ministry of Education. In 2014 , the college evolved into a full fledge polytechnic to cater for the academic needs of the people. IMP is loaded with the best in class teaching and administrative staff. The classrooms, laboratories, workshops and libraries are built and stocked with adequate equipments and up-to-date books to support academic excellence. The polytechnic is in affiliation with federal universities abroad which provide excellent opportunities for our HND graduates to have direct admission into PGD and M.Sc programmes.
