Founded in 1965, the Instituto Nacional de Telecomunicações - Inatel - is a center of excellence in teaching and research in the area of Engineering, and has increasingly consolidated itself, in Brazil and abroad, as a barn of great talents. It was the first educational institution in the country to offer a higher education course in Engineering with telecommunications as its focus. It is a non-profit private educational institution, maintained by the National Telecommunications Institute Foundation (Finatel).
