Lubango
The Mandume ya Ndemufayo University, created by Decree No. 7/09 of 12 May (Article 16), is a legal person governed by public law, endowed with legal personality, and scientific, pedagogical, administrative, financial, patrimonial and disciplinary autonomy under the responsibility of the Government Angolan through the Ministry of Higher Education. The UMN is binary in nature, characterized by the integration, within its core, of university and polytechnic education institutions, with a unified organization, aimed at training senior staff and researchers in the various branches of scientific knowledge. UMN is part of the 6th academic region, covering the provinces of Huíla, Namibe, with headquarters in the city of Lubango, Huíla Province.
