The University’s mandate is to provide undergraduate and post graduate education in Applied Sciences (Engineering, Technology, Health Sciences, Mineral Sciences, Forestry Sciences, and Agricultural Sciences), Agribusiness and Tourism and Hospitality as to contribute to sustainable economic development of Zimbabwe through intensive utilization of land, value addition and beneficiation of the country’s mineral wealth and other natural resources. On its inception, the University commenced with four major faculties namely: Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Applied Science & Technology, Faculty of Agribusiness & Commerce and Faculty of Applied Social Sciences.
