Metropolitan University of Educational Sciences (UMCE) is located in Santiago, Región Metropolitana, Chile. It is locally known as Universidad Metropolitana de Ciencias de la Educación. The university was established in 1986. It is accredited by Consejo Superior de Educación, Chile. The UMCE aspires to distinguish itself as a significant reference in the training of education professionals and in areas related to its mission in the country, in such a way that its academic contribution extends to an influential participation in the formulation of public policies in education. To this end, the UMCE will permanently interpret the educational needs of the country, through research of such quality that it has a favorable impact on its academic work, and, at the same time, on the integral operating conditions of the national educational system.
