Miguel de Cervantes University (UMC) is located in Santiago, Región Metropolitana, Chile. It is locally known as Universidad Miguel de Cervantes. The university was established in 1997. It is accredited by Consejo Superior de Educación, Chile. The Miguel de Cervantes University (UMC) is a private institution of higher education, inspired by the principles of humanistic and Christian thought, which, according to its mission, seeks to contribute to national development through the university education of young people and adults, with a characteristic of social inclusion of workers and vulnerable sectors, responding effectively to the requirements of the social and labor environment. As an institution, the University seeks to promote the comprehensive training of its students and develops its educational proposal in a conception of quality, solidarity and equity, promoting public participation and social responsibility of the university community, facing the challenges and problems of the national development. At the same time, it recognizes the importance of the international context and the challenges posed by globalization, incorporating them into the activities it develops.
