Our mission and commitment are ‘To develop competences to start, manage and grow enterprises, empower learners to meet employer expectations and to advance best business practice and work ethics.’ MBS was licensed by the National Council for Higher Education on 26th February 2007. In 2009, it was registered and classified as a Business College-TI.C.R.0002 by the same Council. In December 2014, National Council for Higher Education granted the school a provisional license to operate as Other Degree Awarding Institution in accordance with the Universities and Tertiary Institutions Act 2001. MBS started with one campus in Kampala and has now spread to three campuses; the main campus at Kampala located at Plot 345 Kyadondo II Road Bukeesa, off Sir Apollo Kaggwa Road, Kakiri Campus at Kikubampanga – Kakiri, and Hoima on Main Street, Muganwa Building. MBS is a dynamic place to study, offering a broad range of programmes and courses with strong research and quality credentials. MBS is a composite of three learning categories within, namely; academic degree, diploma and certificate; professional studies and vocational training. Multitech Business School has received many acclamations during her short history. Today, MBS’ impact has defined the education landscape for professional studies and higher education in Uganda and beyond. MBS has trained over 80% of professional accountants in Uganda. For academic qualifications, it is the only institution of higher learning that combines academic and vocational skills training. We have successfully vocationalised our training to the extent that for any student to graduate, he/she must have competed a three month skills training. This has made our graduates much sought after in the marketplace. Our education is intentionally student-centred, facilitated by predominantly work-based experienced staff coupled with experienced lecturers allowing for intense community and work-based engagement. Our community functions that include interactions with our surroundings in industrial placements and business plan development allow healthy interfaces between students, the community and staff. This in turn helps to model our students in business through a practical oriented approach to learning. A student who studies at MBS does not only walk out with an academic transcript on the day of graduation, but also goes with life-long skills of at least one vocational skill that can shape their long life after studies. MBS is still the only higher institution of learning to pioneer this practice in Uganda and has proved a game changer for everybody who has gone through this great institution. In a country characterised by high levels of unemployment and a continuous growth of a youthful population, it is our pleasure that we continue to lead our competitors in this struggle.
