In 1965, during the government of Felipe Sapag, the Neuquén Legislature through Law No. 414, created the University of Neuquen. The purpose of the creation of the University of Neuquén was to give an orientation to specialized schools in the branch of oil, mining, industry and agriculture. These centers would be in the most appropriate places for teaching. The students would be assisted in such a way that no economic problem would prevent them from developing their vocation and attitudes. The objective was to avoid the emigration of students and achieve the establishment of teachers, providing them with everything to develop productive capacities.
