Pima Medical Institute is an employee-owned, private, accredited medical career college. Established in 1972, we focus on educating students to become career ready, focusing exclusively on healthcare professions, including medical, dental and veterinary fields. Our curriculum includes certificate, associate degree, bachelor’s degree and master’s degree programs. Pima Medical Institute opened its doors in 1972 when founders Richard Luebke Sr. and his wife, JoAnn, brought to life their dream of providing students with a quality medical career education. The first campus opened in Tucson, Ariz., preparing students to become nursing assistants. After several years, Richard Luebke Jr. and Mark Luebke took the helm with a goal to continue their father’s mission to improve the quality of people’s lives by providing the best value in medical career education. Over the years Pima Medical Institute has expanded into other cities and states. As demand for qualified medical professionals grew, so did our college. Pima Medical now has 17 ground campuses and a robust online division. So, while leadership changes have occurred, the mission remains the same. Today, Pima Medical Institute is as dedicated to our students as we were 50 years ago when the first campus opened its doors.
