On the basis of Article 51, paragraph 3 of the Act on Scientific Activity and Higher Education ("Official Gazette", number 123/03, 198/03, 105/04, 174/04) and Article 2, paragraph 3 of the Rulebook on Standards and Criteria for the establishment of higher education institutions ("Narodne novine", number 9/05), Polytechnic "Hrvatsko zagorje" in Krapina (under establishment) on April 13, 2005 submitted a request for the issuance of a permit to carry out the activities of higher education institutions (professional studies Informatics, Transport logistics and Entrepreneurship Economy) with headquarters in Krapina, Šetalište hrvatsko narodnog poporod 13. On October 22, 2007, the High School "Hrvatsko zagorje" Krapina was officially opened. On September 16, 2010, the "Hrvatsko zagorje" College Krapina received a permit to study operational management and acquired the conditions to grow into a polytechnic, and on January 20, 2011, it received an opinion from the Ministry of Science, Education and Sports that it meets the conditions to become the Polytechnic "Hrvatsko zagorje" Krapina. On the basis of the founder's decision of February 10, 2011, the Commercial Court in Zagreb made a decision on April 13, 2011 on the change of company and the entry of the Polytechnic "Hrvatsko zagorje" Krapina in the Main Book of the Court Register.
