Pontifical Catholic University of Valparaíso (PUCV) is located in Valparaíso, Chile. It is locally known as Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso. The university was established in 1928. It is accredited by Consejo Superior de Educación, Chile. Since the beginning of its academic activities, in March 1928, the Catholic University of Valparaíso has developed an uninterrupted academic, research and extension work, orienting its work to the cultivation of the arts, science and knowledge, always under the motto bequeathed by our founders: Faith and Work. Currently, the University has nine Faculties: Law, Engineering, Economic and Administrative Sciences, Architecture and Urban Planning, Philosophy and Education, Agronomic and Food Sciences, Sciences, Marine Sciences and Geography, and Ecclesiastical Theology.
