The School of Information Sciences (ESI) created by Decree No. 2.75.845 of December 30, 1975 and reorganized by Decree No. 2-10-222 of May 20, 2011 , is a public higher education institution not coming under the universities which are subject to the provisions of Law No. 01.00 on the organization of higher education. The school comes under the government authority in charge of planning ( Haut Commissariat au Plan ). ESI is the only training and research establishment in the fields of information, knowledge and content management in Morocco. By its latest reform, subject of the aforementioned Decree, the ESI fully adheres to the principles of the educational architecture of "Master - Doctorate (MD)" itself resulting from the Bologna process "License , Master, Doctorate (LMD) " ESI provides initial training, continuing education and research in information science, particularly in the fields of document engineering; records management; competitive intelligence and business intelligence; knowledge engineering, information systems and related fields. Training within the school is organized in cycles, courses and modules. The main training areas are around: - Documentary Engineering - Knowledge engineering - Information system - Competitive Intelligence and Strategic Watch. The School ensures the preparation and delivery of the following national diplomas: - Engineering degree (preparatory classes + 3 years): Six semester - Master's degree: Four semesters - Specialized Master's Degree: Four semesters - Doctorate degree: Three years.
