The University of Tunis El Manar is a public administrative establishment created in 1987 under the name of "University of sciences, techniques and medicine of Tunis" by article 97 of law n ° 87-83 of December 31 1987. It had its current name according to the decree n ° 2000-2826 of November 27, 2000, relating to the change of name of universities. Bringing together the oldest and most prestigious higher education and research institutions in Tunisia. The UTM has a quality training offer, open to the needs of society and multidisciplinary (fundamental and technical sciences of engineering, human sciences, political, legal and economic, medical and paramedical sciences). Comprising the largest number of research structures at the national level, the UTM is both strong and shining through quality research that covers the most varied fields (health, water, environment, energy, etc.) and fits with national and international research strategy.
