Founded on October 28, 2002, Centro Universitário Uninorte has one of the best structures in the North Region. The institution was built and is maintained by dreams, both of those who imagined it becoming one of the main university centers, and of the academics who contribute to the growth and recognition of Uninorte. In a territorial area of ​​153,697 km², Centro Universitário Uninorte is a reference in terms of teaching quality, structure and modernity. It has one of the largest libraries in the region, Dr. Pedro Martinello, where students can find more than 89,000 copies of books, not counting the more than 16,000 titles and periodicals located on the site. In the Library, students also have at their disposal several study boxes, tables, chairs and more than 60 computers. Centro Universitário Uninorte has six blocks, consisting of more than 500 rooms, which serve students from more than 20 undergraduate and postgraduate, extension, MBA and EAD courses. The EAD room, equipped with computers, has the capacity to serve more than 100 people. Uninorte also has two auditoriums, each with a capacity for 450 and 250 people; more than 20 laboratories; four School Clinics and the Nucleus of Legal Practices – NPJ, used to offer the best training to law school students. SCHOOL CLINICS - Dental Clinic: It has modern infrastructure, state-of-the-art equipment, such as the Panoramic X-Ray, and 60 offices to serve various dental specialties. In 2018, 300 calls were made per day. - Physiotherapy Clinic: Served 40,000 people in 2018 alone. It has all the materials needed for free consultations in the areas of neurology, orthopedics and pelvic health. - Nursing Clinic: More than 60 thousand consultations have already been registered. In 2018 alone, it served 2,000 people. It has a Dressing Room, Medication Room, Material Preparation Room, Anthropometry Room and Office. The Clinic offers the population several services, such as blood pressure measurement, glucose testing, dressings, prenatal care, PCCU collection – Cervical Examination, among others. - Psychology Clinic: It has served more than three thousand people in the community free of charge. In 2018 alone, 800 calls were made. At the Clinic, psychological consultations are offered to people of all age groups. It is not only at the Clínicas Escola that Uninorte's academics strive to serve the community. Social actions in schools, day care centers, hospitals and other community places are one of the main particularities of the courses. Students learn from the first period of graduation. Academic Uninorte leaves prepared to face the job market. - Speech Therapy Clinic: Performs diagnostic procedures (clinical/audiological examinations) and rehabilitation in all areas of speech therapy. More than 900 visits were recorded in 2020.
