University of Bío Bío (UBB) is located in Concepción, Bío Bío, Chile. It is locally known as Universidad del Bío-Bío. The university was established in 1988. It is accredited by Consejo Superior de Educación, Chile. To be a University committed to its state and bi-regional character, innovative, inclusive and complex, with national and international projection, which contributes to the sustainable progress of its territory and its inhabitants, of excellence in the training of people and with a sense of social equity and gender. The University of Bío-Bío, based on its state and public nature, has the following mission: Create and transmit knowledge through teaching, research, innovation, artistic creation and interaction with the social environment in the various areas of knowledge and culture, based on social responsibility and the principles of excellence, pluralism, transparency and gender equity.
