Laghouat
The University of Laghouat was established for the first time as a Higher School of Technical Education in 1986. In the year 1997, the Higher School was transformed into a university center by virtue of Executive Decree No.: 97-157 dated: 05-10-1997 to guarantee training in the state engineer, BA, applied university studies in the following disciplines Exact sciences, computer media, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, civil engineering, industrial chemistry, biology, economics and management sciences, Arabic language and literature, psychology and Artfonia, and law. In the year 2001, the university center was restructured to become a university under Executive Decree No. 01-270 dated 25-08-2010 to include three faculties.
