University of Los Lagos (ULA) is located in Osorno, Los Lagos, Chile. It is locally known as Universidad de Los Lagos. The university was established in 1993. It is accredited by Consejo Superior de Educación, Chile. The University of Los Lagos is a public and regional institution of the State of Chile, whose mission is the comprehensive training of professionals, technicians and postgraduates, and the generation and transmission of knowledge, with an emphasis on research. The University contributes to sustainable development, inclusion and equity, is linked to the environment and encourages the recognition and promotion of the worldview of indigenous peoples, and the creation, cultivation and dissemination of sciences, humanities and arts, from the Los Lagos Region.
