University of the Frontier (UFRO) is located in Temuco, Araucanía, Chile. It is locally known as Universidad de La Frontera. The university was established in 1981. It is accredited by Consejo Superior de Educación, Chile. UFRO is heir to that rich academic tradition of universities that left a strong legacy, large university campuses and an academic staff that in those years was beginning to become familiar, on the one hand, with research and, on the other, with professional training. At that time, its managers had to adjust to new structures such as the generation of Faculties and create at least one traditional career in each one, generate internal organizations, statutes, authorities, academic body, in addition to beginning to manage economic resources.
