Uyo City Polytechnic (UCP) metamorphosed from the former School of Accountancy and Business Studies, Uyo. The school which was incorporated as a tertiary institution in March 2012, has the approval of National Board for Technical Education and is licensed by the Federal Ministry of Education. In September 2019, the governing council of UCP was reconstituted with Emmanuel Ekott Educational Services Limited as the Managing Consultant. The reconstituted management team is committed to restructuring, revamping, reengineering and rebranding UCP to meet with the demands of a technologically advancing society such as ours. Uyo City Polytechnic offers Courses in Engineering, Sciences and Management Technology. We therefore invite you to explore the outstanding teaching, scholarship, support, flexibility and a wide range of academic programs and extra-curricular activities which UCP has to offer. Since we are not oblivious of the dwindling job stocks and unemployment of the teaming youth population, UCP has a systemized entrepreneurship curriculum which is aimed at stimulating entrepreneurial thinking in students such that beyond their academic degrees and vocational skills acquired, they will be job creators and employers of labour. We also place high premium on Information and communication Technology in all our programs. The rebranded UCP is committed to offering students a unique hands-on experience with our modern-day facilities, equipment, machines, tools, gadgets and other learning aids for all programs. We have qualified, dedicated and friendly staff members and a stable academic calendar to ensure our students graduate at stipulated time.
