The idea of creating the Wisdom University of Africa (USA) emanates from an association of a group of higher education professionals, with a wealth of experience and decided to make training the pillar of the socio-economic development of Burundi. The agreement of the will of the founding members of the association "Wisdom University of Africa" USA "is recorded through the private deed of February 03, 2008 as it was legalized on February 06, 2008 by deed notarized n ° M / 218/2008. By Ministerial Order n ° 530/354 of March 31, 2008 relating to the approval of the non-profit association called “Wisdom University of Africa”, the said association was granted a civil personality. By letter N ° 530/6052 / CAB / 2021 of June 3, 2021 from the Minister of the Interior, Community Development and Public Security, an Act was granted to the Sagesse d'Afrique University for officially recognize its compliance with Law No. 01/02 of January 27, 2017, which currently governs non-profit organizations. By virtue of Ministerial Order No. 610/746 of July 17, 2008, the Ministry of Higher Education authorized the USA to organize undergraduate teaching. Classes are scheduled both day and evening. As of this date, the USA has enormous assets that can be directly capitalized on for its rapid development and fulfillment, namely (i) a determination of qualified and experienced teachers available to provide teaching (ii) The University has four Campuses housed in its own infrastructures (see photos), one of which is located in the Asian quarter with an estimated capacity of 2,500 students (this campus is currently being extended, July 2021); a second on Avenue du Large for a capacity of 7,500 students; a third Campus is located in Kinindo between the CMCK Hospital and the Swedish Center, not far from the Kanyosha Minor Seminary, for a reception capacity of 5,000 places and finally a fourth campus located in Kamenge Quartier Mirango II for a provisional reception capacity of 7,500 places. The first simple building has already been completed for 1,500 places, another upstairs (R + 4) is under gradual construction, the first two levels are already functional (iii) excellent management of the academic calendar; rigorously respected since October 2008 (iv) a computer park of one hundred and twenty (120) computers.
