The permanent site of COE Maru was formally a Teachers' Training College (TTC) from 1646 to 1980 and was later converted to Advanced Teachers' College. Zamfara State College of Education is a state owned and managed college located in Zamfara state, the college is often abbreviated as COEMARU.
